Diabetic Neuropathy
A type of nerve damage that can occur with diabetes where the condition most often affects the legs and feet. For some people, symptoms are mild. For others, symptoms can be painful, debilitating, and even fatal. Symptoms include pain and numbness in the legs. Treatment includes managing blood sugar and using medications to control symptoms.
CRPS
Chronic arm or leg pain developing after injury, surgery, stroke, or heart attack. Although the exact cause of complex regional pain syndrome isn't well understood but may involve abnormal inflammation or nerve dysfunction. Complex regional pain is characterized by pain that is greater than the injury that causes it.
Stenosis
Spinal stenosis is a narrowing of the spinal canal which houses the spinal cord controlling all of the bodies nerve function. When the opening closes or becomes occluded it is called stenosis. Stenosis can be congenital or develop because of arthritis which thickens the vertebrae and diminishes joint space, thus narrowing the opening for the cord.
Degenerative disc disease reduces space between the vertebrae creating loss of joint space. Herniated or protruding discs can encroach on the cord resulting in cord compression. This compression or squeezing of the spinal cord causes pain, numbness and tingling in your upper extremities, lower extremities and trunk. It can cause bowel and bladder function, and weakness in the arms, legs, hands or feet.
These symptoms can be incredibly debilitating diminishing your quality of life and ability to function. Stenosis is diagnosed by MRI and can be a chronic condition which cannot be cured. The pain from stenosis has shown to be effectively treated with the Calmare pain treatment device. One study by the Mayo clinic showed a 91% reduction in symptoms.

Sciatica
Pain radiating along the sciatic nerve, which runs down one or both legs from the lower back is usually caused when a herniated disk or bone spur in the spine presses on the nerve. Pain originates in the spine and radiates down the back of the leg. Sciatica typically affects only one side of the body.
Chronic Neuropathic Pain
Chronic neuropathic pain is nerve pain lasting more than three months. It typically starts slow and does not resolve quickly. Patients frequently describe the symptoms as burning, shooting or prickly causing diminished sensation and numbness. It can often be constant and severe significantly interfering with ones quality of life and their ability to function.
The nerve damage can cause severe pain at the site of injury and the areas around it. Some conditions that can cause chronic neuropathic pain are diabetes, cancer treatments, multiple sclerosis and vitamin deficiencies. Trauma to the brain or spinal cord can also lead to this condition.
Degenerative disc disease and stenosis causing pressure on the nervous system can lead to chronic neuropathic pain. The Calmare pain therapy device can be very effective in treating this debilitating condition.

CIPN
CIPN occurs when drugs used to treat cancer cause damage to the peripheral nerves (i.e. nerves in the hands and feet, sometimes extending to the arms and legs). CIPN symptoms can vary in type and severity from person to person, and depend upon which nerves are damaged and how many nerves are affected.
